Our Story
My daughter will tell me that she can still remember me waking her up in the middle of the night to tell her to look out our tent door. Out over Jalama Beach and up over the sliver of the Pacific Ocean to where it gives way to the billion stars you can see with your plain eyes when you're that far from a city. I have many memories with my family that took place around a campsite and I'm glad to give her some of our family. How did I come to buying a rooftop tent? Quite simply I'm too old to sleep on a bumpy ground and putting up a family sized tent with just my wife and a toddler was a pain in the ass. Rooftop tents looked good to me but it was brutal trying to get my head around my options, 50 browser tabs and a spreadsheet later...I decided to build this site. No plan beyond putting this out their as a helpful resource for others.
